Hide a Hinge™ is the first of its kind to be a truly universal solution to hiding entrances to rooms, closets, safe rooms etc out of any furniture or object you choose.

Hide a Hinge™ is a hinge designed out of machined 6061 aluminum to create a very robust and high shear strength platform for hinging objects onto new construction doorways or existing doorways generally with the idea to conceal the doorway behind whatever object is attached to the hidden hinge.

Prior to the development of Hide a Hinge™ there was no product on the market that would allow an individual to easily retrofit an existing or new build doorway into a hidden doorway.  Hide a Hinge™ allows the user to make any piece of furniture into an outward swinging doorway exposing either an opening or an existing door behind it.  Having a double pivot hinge with extremely heavy load capacity is necessary in situations where you want the hinge and doorway hidden with no external indications there is an opening behind it.  Hide a Hinge™ allows the opening object (bookshelf, armoire, liquor cabinet etc) to not interfere or collide with existing trim, existing door or existing door casing due to its unique ability to swing away from the wall prior to swinging open.

Hide a Hinge™ is designed to be installed with minimal modifications to the existing door frame.

Hide a Hinge™ is universal in the sense that it can be mounted to an existing door frame or raw framing, or to a door frame with an existing door, or no door.  Hide a Hinge™ can be mounted on the right side of the frame or the left side of the frame. Hide a Hinge™ fits nicely and discreetly between an existing door in the frame and the object used to conceal the doorway.
